Design service questions

What does the ID card design service include? +
A designer builds your card from a short brief: your logo, colors, the fields you need (name, photo, ID number, barcode and so on) and the look you're after. You get concepts in your account, ask for changes or approve, and the approved design is ready to print with us.
How fast will I see a design? +
First concepts arrive in under 1 hour on Quick, under 2 hours on Custom, and within 24 hours on Premium.
What's the difference between a revision and a send-back? +
A revision is a tweak to a concept, like a color, a font size or moving the photo. A send-back asks for a new direction. Either one uses one round from your package. Extra rounds are $35.00 each.
I don't have a logo. Can you help? +
Yes. Tick "design one for me" in the brief and we'll create a simple logo for $25 as part of your card design.
Is the design fee ever refunded? +
If you order 500 or more cards within 30 days of approving your design, the full design fee is credited back on that order.
Can every card have a different name and photo? +
A designed card is delivered as finished artwork, so every card printed from it is identical, which suits staff passes, visitor cards and membership cards. For a different name, photo or barcode on each card, build the design in our free editor with roster fields and upload a spreadsheet of your people. See employee badges for how that works.
What happens after I approve? +
The design is saved under My Designs and added to your cart at your brief's quantity. Change the quantity and options, check out, and we print and ship it. You can reorder it anytime.
Do I need an account? +
Yes, a free account. It's where your concepts, revisions and approved designs live.

Revisions explained

A "revision" is a small tweak. A "send-back" is a full restart in a new direction. Either one counts the same against your allowance.

Need more than included? Additional rounds are $35.00 each, paid through the same checkout. No contracts.
